Think before you post @ social media

P.S.: This blog is composed based on my personal observations of the use of social media, I'm not including any researches, studies nor statistics, just my personal view.

No one can deny that social media became an essential part of everyone's daily life. It is our open gate to everything happening around the world, it is also our bridge that connects us with our friends and family members everywhere. If you want to keep up with what is going on, then get on the train. Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Ask fm, Youtube, Pentrist and so many other applications will keep you in the spotlight if you used them in the right way.

     Facebook

It is most likely to be a festival, you can find facebookers from all ages, religions, cultures, countries and nationalities, everyone is here...But if you want to shine among others, choose the right time to publish your posts and try to be distinctive about what you are publishing, How ?
well, I have noticed that the best time to publish your posts is at the morning between 8-10 am, most people are awake at this time getting ready to go to work, schools, or universities but they usually check FB before they leave.
Publishing at noon around 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm is a bad idea because it is probably your friends' nap time!! even from 5:00pm - 8:00pm is also not a good idea because people go out to enjoy their times away from social media noise. For me, I prefer to publish my posts at night and my posts reach most of my friends, because almost everyone check their FB account before they go to sleep. Avoid posting the good mornings and the good evenings everyday because it becomes boring by the time and most of your friends wont comment even if they saw that post( people who keep posting food photos or checking in where ever they go deserve to be blocked :) ). Make your posts variable as much as you can, share your opinion about what is going on around you. Make your friends search your profile just to see what you are sharing.

    Twitter

I think this application gathers the intellectuals and serious users. It has a universal effect and the power to convey peoples' reaction about any event faster than any other application, you just need to be creative about how to put your thoughts in tweet because you have a limited numbers of letters, along with the trending hashtag...and you will be on the track with the other tweeters. It is not that big deal of you did not get any retweets or favorites, that's not the point, the point is to participate and be effective.

  Snapchat

The latest application and my favorite. The idea of this application is interesting, it makes you feel closer to your friends and relatives you can't meet since its basic concept is to share with them photos and videos of your daily life. Snapchat is also your chance to show your talent in taking good shots of everything around you, I read once a nice sentence says: " Even if it is a photo on snapchat, try to make it beautiful." We can't also ignore the fact that you got to be a master in taking selfies, whether for you half of your face or all of it...:) I once read a study says that those who take a lot of selfies have psychological issues. Well, i think they are jealous because thay can't take good selfies :) (i'm kidding of course but as for the study it is a real study :) )

Instagram

Let me start with those who who those who share photos of written proverbs and wise sayings !!! For me, i skip those posts and don't even bother myself in reading them. If you want to play wise, try Facebook for instance where you can actually type whatever you want, Instagram is for actual photos and videos. As for the hashtags, i think writing so many hashtags is not a smart thing, those who write ten lines of hashtags and most of them are not even related to the post !! what is exactly your point by doing that ??? Be logical please and stay normal, it is not a competition..

Ask

I don't have an account on this application because i'm not completely convinced with its concept, i mean what is the point of interfering in peopls' personal life !!!  On Ask, you find the "brave heart" users who are not afraid of asking and answering with their names shown, on the other hand, you find the "chickens" who are annoyingly curios and ask questions non of their business with their names hidden, get a real life guys !!

Sometimes i see Facebook like a football match or even a wedding, always crowded and active. Twitter is like a group of nerds studying in the library and making the best of their time. Snapchat is like your ID or your driving license. Where ever you go and whatever you do has to be posted on snapchat, not because it is a must, it is just nice to share your times. According to Ask, it is like a press conference, it is made for popular and famous figures who are not afraid to express themselves freely, and the other type of users who prefer to stand in the dark and watch from a distance quietly.
