A glance on the life of the Palestinian people
What is your idea about a life-threatening situation ? Have you ever imagined how your life will end ?
Please don't frown, this article is not what it sounds like, it's an invitation for you to take a close look on the life of the Palestinian people.
Going to the supermarket across the street may sound a daily causal activity that doesn't worth mentioning, but in my country, you may come back alive or you may not !! Going to work in my country is also a journey swished with danger and death, specialty if there is a check point on the road, you will be lucky if you arrived on time ALIVE !! Maybe my words seem far away from reality, try to do the following to understand me: pick an action- drama movie full of chasing, tension and gun-shooting, turn of the light, turn the voice up so you can't here anything else, watch the movie ALONE and imagine that you are part of it, try to fell the fear, the chaos and the misery, i don't think you van hold on more than 15 minutes because the situation is way more than you can bear, this is how live our life everyday. We don't fear death, it's our companion in life, our mercy and our victory. Martyr is an honor and an endless glory, not the end of life.
We don't fear death, we hate the feeling of losing someone we love, we hate that life- sucking moment when we hear that someone's friend, brother, father, sister or neighbor is killed. At that moment, the spacious world seems like a very small- suffocating box and life feels priceless, even if the Martyred in not related to you , you eventually feel the same pain and death stands on the street corner of the Martyred's house apologizing to us for its blindness, death does not differentiate between youths and elders, babies and infants weather they were males or females.
We don't fear death , we fear life. A life that constantly threatening us to live it without our beloved ones. Mahmoud Darwish once said : " Death does not hurt the deceases, it hurt the living people " , and he also said : " and causes of death are many, among the is life pain " .....
In other places of the world, sickness, aging, car accidents could be cause of death. In my country, death is the price we pay for our life , smiles and dreams !!!!!
